A Day in the Life

Morning: Lead the daily team stand-up, discussing progress, identifying blockers, and setting priorities for the day.
Mid-day: Dive into a code review session for a critical feature, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Following that, you might join a project planning meeting to help define the technical scope for an upcoming client project.
Afternoon: Dedicate focus time to architecting a new microservice or planning a major database migration. You'll also conduct a 1-on-1 session with a junior developer, mentoring them on their career growth and helping them navigate a technical challenge.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of developers by conducting regular 1-on-1s, setting clear performance goals, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Technical Strategy & Architecture: Own the end-to-end technical vision for your projects, evaluate new technologies, and create scalable architectural roadmaps.
Code Quality & DevOps: Champion a robust testing culture, enforce strict coding standards, own the git workflow, and oversee CI/CD pipeline enhancements.
Project Collaboration & Communication: Act as the primary technical liaison between your team, project managers, and clients, ensuring clear communication.
Hands-On Development & Problem Solving: Remain hands-on by tackling the most complex development tasks and serving as the final escalation point for critical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Required (Must-Haves)

5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
2+ years of direct experience in a technical leadership role.
Expert-level proficiency in PHP and the WordPress ecosystem.
Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, Next.js).
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)

Experience with other CMS/eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Webflow).
Practical experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud).
Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
